We made it safe and sound to Germany. We are in the apartments that we will be staying at for the next three weeks with another married couple and then we will move into our own apartment. We have really enjoyed our time getting to know them in the last few days.
We were late arriving in Frankfort and missed our connecting flight, but was able to ride the ICE train from Frankfort to Koln. It took about the same about of time to get there as it would have flying, and it was a lot more comfortable and enjoyable than the plane ride would have been. Great scenery too.
Doesn't feel like it's been a year since we've been here. Still can't believe that we are here and that we will be here for three months
