Weekly Update

Despite the daily rain we have been experiencing since we got here, we have had time to walk around, explore, and enjoy Germany and her people.

We began gettomg to know the city by taking a tour through the Roman-German museum. Cologne’s history is deep and rich. There used to be a Coliseum in the middle of Cologne, where games took places, games which involved Gladiators, lions, and yes, probably even Christians. The city also had a temple where many gods were worshipped. Some would say that many of the strongholds that hold Cologne captive today are the same of the past.

Along with the museum, We were told by the Germans that we should go and see the circus that was in town. It was amazing. Marcus and I were in awe so many times by the different talents each performer had to offer. As I was sitting underneath the big tent, watching a juggler juggle orange ping pong balls with his mouth, a thought came to my mind. “What is my talent, what has the Lord blessed me with that I might take great delight in using that talent and in doing so bring glory the Father." The circus would be so boring if every act was the same. It’s the unique gifts of every performer that makes the circus spectacular and awes and amazes the crowd.
