Proverbs 3:5-6

Proverbs. 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your path.

“What are some things that you really trust in? Friends? Family? Work? We live in a world where 100% trust is hard to give. We get burned, lied to, cheated, or simply let down on a daily basis, so how can we learn to trust God with all our heart? I think it begins like any other relationship: by just spending time with Him. Listen to Him and watch what He is doing. Trust grows out of experience. The Hebrew word for "trust" is "batakh," which means to cling to, confide in, or to set one's hope or confidence upon. Trusting God with all our hearts begins when we stop clinging to or placing our confidence in ourselves or others.” -Bishop
